A handsome twelve branch, two tier chandelier with a charming period feel. A long elaborate spindle features two sculpted arm plates with a faceted glass ball between them. Above them the spindle is sheathed in a beautiful glass trumpeted flower which meets an inverted cup at the top, while below them it is encased within a large moulded glass globe with an attractive diagonal grid pattern and a decorative finial underneath. Swan neck arms swoop gracefully down and up again from the arm plates and those of the higher tier are echoed by a slender stem that extends upwards from the base of each, coiling backwards in an elegant S shape. At the apex of each branch, sleek candle sleeves rise from delicate cut glass bobeches. Four pairs of glistening octagonal crystal buttons hang from points around the bobeches, and pinned to each chain is a stunning pendalogue crystal drop. The entire frame has a brushed antique brass finish that perfectly compliments this lovely traditional design.
