Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions and your use of our web site are governed by English law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English court. This does not affect your non-excludable statutory rights.

This website and our Terms and Conditions have been designed for use within the United Kingdom and under UK law. The Chandelier and Mirror Company can only sell to customers who are resident in the UK.

A Contract between the customer and The Chandelier and Mirror Company for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed and despatched. This does not affect the customer's statutory rights.

Prices and availability of goods is subject to change without notice. However, we will endeavour to keep the customer informed at all times if there is likely to be any variation to the prices or delivery as advertised and should any change be made then the company will comply with the customers wishes with regard to the ongoing status of the order and if necessary cancel the order and return any monies already taken. A delivery charge will only be added to your order should you require delivery of your order at a time other than that specified as the “standard delivery time”.

UK Delivery

We contact all customers prior to making a delivery to ensure that someone will be available to sign for the order.  Many items can be sent out for next day delivery, larger items may take longer.  Stock permitting, all orders are usually despatched, to arrive with UK customers within 10 working days. In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of the delay and contact you again as soon as it arrives to arrange delivery.  All deliveries are assumed to be to the ground floor.  The customer must inform us at the time of ordering if delivery is required to other than a ground floor destination.  An additional charge may be made for delivery to other floors not accessible by lift.  If the company is not informed and delivery is unsuccessful the company reserves the right to make a charge (up to £100 inc vat).

Your Right To Cancel

You can decide at any time up to the date of despatch, to cancel the order for any reason. No charge will be made unless an order has been made for a specific item not normally carried in stock and you have been advised of this fact. For these special orders you will be liable for a charge of 25% of the normal purchase price.  If you do cancel the order within this time any payments due to you will be refunded in full within 30 days.

Returns

We obviously hope you will be delighted with the products you order however, if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase then please contact us to obtain a returns number and return the item(s) in their original condition and packaging within 14 days. We will be pleased to exchange or  give you a full refund* whichever you would prefer once the items have been returned to us. Please note that the items MUST be returned in their original packaging and condition for us to offer a full refund.

Wrap the products securely using the original packaging enclosing your name, address and order number and send/deliver the products back to us. 

N.B. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in transit.

*Refunds will only be made for items that are returned in their original condition and in their original packaging.  The company will not make any refund if a product has been altered in any way (e.g. wire/chain cut).

Damaged Goods

All our products are carefully packaged to avoid any damage during transit however, due to the delicate nature of the chandeliers, occasionally a droplet may be damaged in transit. To obviate the need to return a chandelier, in most cases, there are a number of spare crystals packaged with the chandelier. Should there be a need to replace more than the number sent as spares please contact the company and we will gladly provide additional crystals if required free of charge or a replacement chandelier if the company thinks it is the appropriate course of action. All the chandeliers are provided with full fitting instructions, please read these carefully before starting to hang as the company will not be liable for any damaged caused by incorrect assembly.

All claims for damaged items (except mirrors) must be made within 3 days of receipt, claims for damaged mirrors must be made within 24 hours of receipt.  This applies to goods purchased on line or from our showroom.

Where goods have been purchased directly from our showroom and subsequently found to be damaged or faulty we will gladly replace the goods when they are returned to the showroom. 

Deliveries not collected from the Courier

If you are unavailable at the time a parcel is being delivered and have received a card advising you that the parcel has been returned to the courier's depot you will have the option to arrange delivery on another day.  This service is operated by the courier and The Chandelier & Mirror Company can not take any responsibility for this alternative arrangement. 

Payment and Taxes

We accept online payment in a secure environment by credit card. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Visa Debit, Maestro and Switch cards only. Alternatively payment can be made by contacting the company and arranging to send a cheque or provide payment details over the phone. Orders taken and paid for over the phone will only be despatched after payment has been cleared. All transactions are shown in £ sterling.

All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and where appropriate are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate. The current rate of VAT is 20%.

If you are outside the UK mainland then please email us your requirements, including the address where the items are required to be sent and we will provide a quotation.  This quotation will include the cost of shipping and delivery to you but will exclude any import taxes and/or customs duties payable.
 
If you are an individual ordering from outside of the UK but inside the Euro zone then we are required  to include VAT to the price quoted. 

If you are a company ordering from outside the UK but inside the Euro zone and you are registered for VAT then please include your VAT registration number and we will be able to provide a quote excluding VAT.

If you are ordering from the rest of the world we will supply you excluding VAT.

Please note if you wish to place an order and are outside the UK mainland email our sales office at sales@chandeliersandmirrors.co.uk first for a quotation to include the cost of shipping.

Please also note that in certain instances local customs will impose duties or taxes on the goods entering the country, payment of this tax is the responsibility of the customer.

Our Guarantee To You

In order to combat fraudulent credit card use we subscribe to the latest "3rd Man" technology in additional to other credit card checks. 

An email confirmation will be sent upon receipt of an order advising of the expected delivery time. We will also make contact to arrange a convenient delivery time by telephone or email.

We endeavour to display through this website all items in our current range. We aim to hold stock or are able to obtain supply within a reasonable amount of time (normally within 10 days) to be able to satisfy any order placed. Occasionally stock may not be available when an order is placed. If this is the case the company will inform the customer of the expected availability so that the customer can decide whether any quoted lead time is acceptable.

All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change and we can accept no liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) for delivery at any time other than the estimated date for delivery.

Conformity Of Goods

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of going to press. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you.

Disclaimer & Limitations of liability

The Chandelier and Mirror Company does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence or that of its members agents directors or employees or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law and save as provided above, neither The Chandelier and Mirror Company nor any associated company shall be liable to you by reason of any representation, or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence (whether on the part of The Chandelier and Mirror Company or any of its members, agents, directors, employees or otherwise) for any indirect special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the use of this website, the supply of the products or their use or resale by you.

"The limitations of liability in these conditions shall apply equally for the benefit of The Chandelier and Mirror Company and any other associated company of The Chandelier and Mirror Company as if references to The Chandelier and Mirror Company included references to each such associated company."

While The Chandelier and Mirror Company uses reasonable endeavours to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date, it does not give any warranty as to its accuracy or completeness and The Chandelier and Mirror Company will not be responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results arising from the use of such information

While The Chandelier and Mirror Company takes all reasonable steps to ensure a fast and reliable service, it does not guarantee that your use of this website will be interruption or error free and will not be responsible for any disruption, loss of or corruption of any material in transit, or loss of or corruption of material or data when downloaded onto any computer system.

The Chandelier and Mirror Company may assign or transfer any of its rights or sub contract any of its obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or sub contract any of your obligations under these terms and conditions except with the specific permission in writing of The Chandelier and Mirror Company.

No person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Nothing in these conditions is intended nor shall affect any of your statutory rights that may not be legally excluded.

Any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim of whatever nature arising out of the supply of goods will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. The Parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
